On Monday, October 3rd, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority of Fort Mill / Tega Cay presented the foundation with a check for $7,000. On Tuesday night, October 4th, at the district school board meeting, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority was recognized as a local organization that has actively supported the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools for several years. In 2010, Beta Sigma Phi was the Foundation’s top contributor.
The sorority, a non-academic international organization with chapters worldwide, holds a popular golf tournament every spring at the Springfield Golf Course. This year, all proceeds will benefit the Foundation for Fort Mill Schools.
